Every basketball game requires qualified coaches, referees, table officials, team managers and volunteers to meet Basketball England standards, so Warriors Basketball is committed to offering officials training and volunteering opportunities to get people involved in all aspects of the game.
Experienced Level 2 and Level 3 officials are essential to mentor and assess new coaches and officials as they work towards higher qualifications. By investing in people today, we're creating the next generation of coaches, referees and volunteers for Warriors Basketball and the wider basketball community. As a Basketball England Leading Club, we're proud to support our volunteers through mentoring, funded DBS checks, safeguarding training, qualification opportunities and ongoing professional development.

Table Official
If you’re a parent with a passion for basketball, or a player looking to gain experience for your college/university course, we can support you with Table Official training. We’ll teach you how to manage the technical aspects of the game including timekeeping, tracking fouls and scorekeeping.
Junior Coach
We actively support junior coaching qualifications for young basketball enthusiasts. Our courses run throughout the year and are designed to mentor young players with a passion for the game to become future coaches.
Parent helper
We invite parents to help wherever they can - it’s a big part of being a community-focussed club. Without parents’ support, we wouldn’t be able to provide our players with matches and events. As a parent helper you’ll enable the club to maintain these vital minutes on the court.
Team Manager
Warriors Basketball support and encourage Team Managers who are passionate about growing basketball in our local area. Working alongside coaches and players, this is a great way to get involved in basketball.
Referee
Warriors Basketball facilitates referee courses for those looking to earn extra income, stay involved in the sport they love, and maintain an active lifestyle. We support you at every stage of the process, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to progress to high level games.
Coach
We actively support coaching qualifications. Our courses run throughout the year and are designed for everyone including National League coaches, development coaches, parent helpers moving into coaching, and young players transitioning into paid roles.
