About us
Despite being the second most popular sport for U18s in the UK, basketball is also one of the last to receive funding. So, the sport is often limited to being played at home on hoops in driveways. Court hire is expensive, and community basketball simply doesn't happen without the dedication of local clubs like us.
Established in 2021 with a mission to promote basketball and foster talent in our local area, the club has grown significantly since our early days. Starting with a handful of enthusiastic players in our local community, we now boast over 500 members, including over 400 juniors. This growth is a testament to the dedication of our players, the support of their families, and the tireless efforts of our coaches and volunteers.
Warriors basketball operates across Hampshire, with clubs in Southampton, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, the New Forest, and soon Petersfield. We are committed to making basketball accessible for all, nurturing talent to produce brilliant players who have a real love for the game.
Milestones and Achievements
Warriors has rapidly expanded to become a cornerstone of the local basketball scene and a hub for young talent. Our teams have made remarkable strides in various leagues and tournaments.
Our Under 12s team achieved an incredible feat by finishing the season as unbeaten champions in the Solent Area Basketball Association CVL league. This success was made even more special by the support from the families who funded the team's new kit and dedicated it to Sophie’s Legacy, a charity close to our hearts.
Our Ladies team also made an impressive debut, reaching the finals in their first season in the SABA league after finishing as runners-up. Their determination and teamwork set a high standard for future seasons. Additionally, our Under 16s team reached the finals for the second consecutive year, securing second place in the league. These achievements reflect the consistent hard work and progress of our players and coaches.

While our dream is always to support our players to reach high-level basketball, our goals also include further expanding our grassroots development clubs, continuing to support community initiatives and charitable partners, and providing high-quality coaching to all our members.
