Guy Wilcox - Co-Director & U16 NL Boys Coach
Guy joined Warriors in 2021 and as Co-Director has played a major part in the club’s growth and success. Having also co-founded the successful Winchester Basketball Club (now Winchester Royals), he has a proven track record of helping take clubs to league titles.
Guy’s love for the game started when he was inspired by Michael Jordan and the legendary Chicago Bulls at nine years old. He played point guard throughout school, before going on to compete at college and university. His passion for the game is still as strong as ever and he still plays when he can, balancing basketball with family life, work, and of course coaching.
Guy brings over 25 years’ experience coaching in various environments — from working with children in Greece, to training new recruits in the British Army. His background as a personal trainer shapes how he approaches coaching, with a strong focus on fitness, mindset, discipline, resilience and personal development.
Since coaching Warriors he’s helped our club win Solent League titles with the U10s and U12s for three consecutive years, and come close with the U14s. He now coaches our U16 Boys National League team, preparing them for further success next season.
Andrew Bradshaw - Co-Director & Men’s 2nd Team Coach
Andy has been a huge part of the club since the beginning, and his impact can be felt through the Warriors community. His own playing days took him through college, university and local league men’s teams, giving him a real feel for the game.
As a Level 2 Basketball Coach working towards his Level 3, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to the club and is constantly pushing himself to grow. He uses his experience in basketball to promote coaching within the community by running local Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses. He’s also recently qualified as a Level 2 Basketball Referee, adding even more support to the club as we continue to expand.
Over his time with the Warriors, Andy has coached across the pathway, from the local league U14s to joint coaching the National League U18s, and now guiding the Men’s 2nd Team. He’s been involved in half‑term camps, development sessions and has played a key role in helping new teams and clubs grow under the Warriors banner.
Andy’s dedication and passion for the sport make him a great member of the Warriors family, as he helps shape the future of basketball within the club.
Lianne Miller - Co-Director & U18 NL Head Coach
Basketball has been a central part of Lianne’s life since the age of nine, when she first discovered a love for the game that would go on to shape her journey in ways she could never have imagined.
Lianne’s parents founded the first Whiteley Basketball Club and ran it from 2000 to 2010, creating opportunities and building a strong community around the game. Their dedication to basketball had a significant influence on Lianne’s journey. Her early interest in the sport quickly developed into a deep passion, driven by a desire to improve, compete, and be part of something bigger. Lianne’s basketball career took her around the world with the honour of representing England and Great Britain, eventually leading to a basketball scholarship in the United States.
Injuries sadly saw Lianne’s playing career come to an unexpected end, but this gave her the chance to reflect on everything basketball has to offer and ignited a desire to give back to the sport that has given her so much.
Today, Lianne’s passion for basketball remains as strong as ever. Her experience as an athlete competing at a high level enables her to help develop young athletes at the club, whether their goal is to compete at an elite level or simply to enjoy the game as a positive outlet. As Co-Director, Lianne continues to create an environment where young people can grow, build friendships, develop character, and gain tools that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, we welcome you to join the Warriors Basketball family.
