Welcome to Warriors U14s National League team! As part of the Warriors Family, the NL is the top level team at this age. If you enjoy basketball and are looking to progress your skills and play in competitive games, the Warriors offer a welcoming home. Players benefit from top-tier coaching, internal competitions and a long-term development pathway.
What’s involved
Commitment to twice weekly training sessions, with league matches played Saturdays or Sundays in Sept - Apr and friendly games/development played May-Aug.

National League Registration Process
Season 2026/27
Welcome to the Warriors Basketball National League Programme.
To register your player for the 2026/27 season, please complete each of the steps below in order. The process has been designed to make registration as straightforward as possible while ensuring that all Basketball England and club requirements are completed before the season begins.
Step 1 – Read the Parent/Guardian & Player Handbook

This handbook explains how the National League programme operates, the Warriors Way, player pathways, communication methods, safeguarding arrangements and what you can expect throughout the season.

This document outlines the standards, behaviours and responsibilities expected of every player representing Warriors Basketball throughout the season
Step 3 – Complete Your Basketball England Registration (PlayHQ)
Purchase or renew your Basketball England National League licence using the PlayHQ link for your team
Your National League License is split in to two separate payments, a Participant Membership of £22.53 and a Performance membership of £19.80, which should total £42.33
If this is your first National League season, Basketball England requires proof of identity before your licence can be activated.
Accepted identification includes:

Birth Certificate
Please email your identification to membership@basketballengland.co.uk
If your identity has already been verified in a previous National League season, simply renew your licence through PlayHQ.
Step 4 – Complete Your Club Membership
Before submitting your player registration, please complete the relevant club payments.
This includes:
Annual Club Membership (where applicable) Please check if you have paid this already when sent back in April 2027
Monthly Training Subscription for your team (you should have started this already and been paying for training)
Step 5 – Complete the Player Registration Form
Once you have completed the previous four steps, please complete the Warriors Basketball Player Registration Form.
This is our central club database and enables us to:
Record player and parent/guardian details.
Maintain emergency contact information.
Record medical information and care plans.
Meet safeguarding and data protection requirements.
Confirm acceptance of the club's policies, procedures and handbooks.
Once submitted, your registration will be reviewed by the club. When all required steps have been completed, your player will be eligible to train and compete for Warriors Basketball during the 2026/27 season.
Ash Hands - Lead Coach
Ash played Junior and Men’s National League before joining the Royal Air Force, where he has represented both the RAF 1st Men’s Team and the UK Armed Forces Team. Beginning his coaching journey with Gosport Gunners in 2024 before joining the Warriors family, Ash will be Head Coach for the 2026 season.
Andy played university‑level basketball in Plymouth and joined the Warriors family in 2022 ahead of their first competitive season. Now a co‑director and Basketball England coach tutor, he brings experience and leadership to the programme. Andy will support the squad as Assistant Coach for the 2026 season
Andy Bradshaw - Coach
Robbie Connell - Coach
Robbie Connell is an experienced Basketball England coach who currently works with the London Cavaliers Division 1 Women's team and the Basketball England Aspire Programme, helping to develop talented young players from across the country.
This summer, Robbie has been supporting our Under-14 National League programme and leading our National League Elite Camps, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong focus on player development. His knowledge, professionalism and passion for coaching provide an outstanding learning environment for players looking to progress to the next level.
Morgan Long - Team Manager
Mogsy played up to University level in Liverpool, then joined the Royal Navy and played across Commands and Ships. Joining the Warriors family in 2024 with Fareham Falcons, he has supported the growth at Grassroots and will now manage the U14s NL team for the 2026/27 season.
